Do you have any beta items?

Deleted Betas

And then, of course, there are items that were removed in Beta times. Like the Green Top Hat and Scullies.

Green top hats were permanantly removed from the game. But.. does a hacker by the name of "X" have it? Here is a picture from his Instagram account, discovered by Violet. To find out more about these mysteries, click here.

Weird. He also has two scullies, one of which is re-colored. X is defiantly very suspicious. For more about X and other hackers, click here.

Beta Lands

In early Animal Jam, the Beta Days, all the lands/worlds were different! Did you know that in Beta, Appondale, Kimbara, Coral Canyons, and even Mt. Shivver didn't exist? That's right! The lands didn't even have labels! Notice there wasn't an "Epic Dens" or anything.

All the existing worlds looked different, though. Take Crystal Sands for instance.

Serepia Forest wasn't much different, except for the fact that there was a giant red mushroom and no slide. XD

Woah, watch out for that giant rock there! I guess this was before Mira's spirit inhabited the fireplace, because, well... The fireplace apparently didn't exist! Beta Serepia Forest was also just called, "Serepia", as you can notice in the corner of the pictures above.

Jamaa township was practically the same, except... there was no Jammer Central! Or no Coral Canyons, which means no Art Studio. Instead, there were two versions. In very early beta, "Jammer Central" looked like this:

The other, in later beta, was a green stone that looked like this:

Also, in the Beta Township, the Medical Center was in the left corner instead of the Pillow Room!

Alright, almost done with Lands! The last one is the Lost Temple of Zios!

Not much different for this, except for the Zios statue was replaced with - a monkey?! Yep.

Beta Dens, Login Sceens, Loading Screens, Icons, & Jam A Grams

Beta dens were awesome! The regular "Small House" den, which was the only existing den at the time, had 3 floors with your very own backyard and bridge! When you walked to the end of the bridge, it would take you automatically to the Mira Statue in Jamaa Township.

You can also see a good example of these dens in Jamaa's Beta Party, which will be leaving soon for the season!

Login Screens for animal jam were always changing in Beta. Here are just a few of AJ's Login Screens and Home Pages:

Loading Screens never really changed that often. The standard Beta loading screens looked like this. Remember, these were during mid beta-beta end.

Jamaa's first Beta Loading Screen was rather strange. And plenty boring XD

Now lets explore the icons in the task bar of Animal Jam's Beta.
Notice how the Journey Book was just a book! Interesting, no? Also, what did that shovel/pickax icon at the far left of the task bar mean? I played during Beta, but I honestly never tried it. The timer in front of the Report button on the far right was called a "Play Timer". Here is a closer, more detailed picture of the Play Timer:
Now, beta Jam-A-Grams said, "Animal Jam Rules!" Instead of "Animal Jam Rocks!"

That's all for now. I hope you learned something about beta! Make sure to tell me in the comments: Which do you like better? Beta Jamaa, or Modern Jamaa? Do you support Bringing Back Beta? And, finally, what do you think Jamaa will look like 4 years from now?
